one hundred pushups

By shrimpchopsteve

those of you who know me can attest to the fact that i’m big on fitness. i’m always watching what i eat and drink, i go to the gym on a regular basis, i try my best to consistently get a full night’s rest, and, despite recent posts on binge eating an assorted dozen krispy kreme donuts at 11:30 at night out of sheer boredom and negligent hunger, i’m still 110% committed to the physical challenge, yadda yadda yadda mersh mersh mersh.

i’m habitually looking for ways to push myself harder better faster stronger and for ways keep my workouts interesting. i came across a post today on digg.com that was right up my alley. there’s a site called hundredpushups.com that offers a six-week program that will have you cranking out 100 pushups in no time flat. groovy!

i’m going to start the program today and i’ll let you know how everything’s going along the way. but i was thinking. i’m always way more motivated about stuff like this when i have people sweating through it with me. how many of you would be willing to give this a go with me? it’s not a competition or a challenge, just a friendly support group to help us all stay motivated and in shape. this could be so much fun!

here’s the deal: if you want to actively participate in the 100 pushup program then i want you to actively participate on shrimpchopsteve! yes! sign up for a free wordpress blog and email me your username and the email you’re using for your blog and i’ll make you a shrimpchopsteve contributor! as a contributor you’ll be able to blog your progress, tips and tricks, and support right on this site! and, you know what, even if you don’t want to pump out 100 pushups but you’d still like to show your support, shoot me that email!
