so skype thinks i speak spanish. could it have something to do with the fact that i didn’t register for skype until i was in spain…?
this reminds me of my favorite what-ethnicity-are-you stories. a few summers ago i was working at express in the mall. one afternoon a chonga walks up to me. she’s lookin at me hard. she shifts her weight, sucks her teeth, and says “ah joo thominiken?” “no,” i replied. she looks me up, she looks me down, real slow like, right? and with a smile creeping on her face she says, as she turns to leave, “joo cooda fool’d me.”
