my roommate, nic, is full of crazy ideas like wearing a sauna suit from walmart instead of turning on the heat in the winter (even at the expense of his shivering roommates who refused to buy the glorified trash bags), and is always up for ridiculous challenges like the one he offered me this evening. give or take some change, i’ve got one month until i move away and nic has challenged me to get into the best shape of my life. and, just to make things interesting, he’s in on it too. now, i’m not one to turn down a challenge, so of course i accepted.

our approaches to this physical challenge are almost identical. we’re both restructuring our diets: fast food (no bo!), junk, and bad carbs are out; proteins, veggies, and good carbs are in. and we’re both ramping up our cardio. the main difference is in our lifting. nic’s gonna do full-body circuit training everyday and i’m going to concentrate more specific muscle groups 3 days a week.
